  Registration now open for Qatar 2022 audio descriptive commentary training Football commentators sought to provide service for blind and partially sighted fans   This is your chance to commentate on matches during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ™ . Tournament organisers are seeking people to provide audio descriptive commentary for blind and partially sighted fans during this year’s World Cup, which will run from 21 November to 18 December. Both Arabic and English speakers are needed for the project, which will provide free training from 19 March until October. Interested applicants must submit a 60-second audio recording of themselves commentating on a football match of their choice, in either Ara bic or English. Candidates will be assessed on their overall aptitude for commentating and the quality of the audio recording. Iga Swiatek claimed the second WTA 1000 title of her career, and her fourth WTA singles title overall, with a scintillating display in the Qatar TotalEnergies Open championship match. Iga Swiatek charged to her first title of the season on Saturday, as the No.7 seed from Poland cruised past No.4 seed Anett Kontaveit of Estonia 6-2, 6-0 to win the Qatar TotalEnergies Open in Doha. In an overpowering display of all-court mastery, Swiatek took just over an hour to sweep to victory at the WTA 1000 event and end St. Petersburg champion Kontaveit's nine-match winning streak. A top three split by just 0.027 kicks off the 2022 season, with the debutants denying the veterans at Lusail Doha:  The 2022 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup is now officially underway, with a successful two-day pre-season test at Lusail International Circuit setting the scene for another great year of competition. By the end of play in Doha, it's rookies on top too – with the top three all making their full-time debuts in 2022 and split by just 0.027 on the timesheets. The rider in P1 was Amon Odaki, with the Japanese rider putting in a 2:11.313 to beat compatriot Shinya Ezawa to the top by just 0.012. For reference, only eventual Champion Taiyo Furusato put in a faster lap in Race 1 of the 2021 season at Lusail – a race he went on to win with a margin. Third place in the test was close too, with Mandalika wildcard and new full-time rider Veda Ega Pratama, from Indonesia, just 0.027 off Odaki.   Ahmed Alkuwari took the first spot in the Auto category of the first round of the Qatar Off-Road Championship will concluded on Saturday and which took place over two days.   Ahmed Al-Muhannadi took the second spot followed by Abdulla Alkhelaifi. The championship, organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), saw nine competitors taking part in the event.   The championship consists of six rounds. The first round was a Baja category, while two more rounds will also be Baja category (Third and fourth round). The second round to be held on March 11 and 12 will be Enduro (endurance) while the fifth and last round, the dates which are yet to be announced will also be of Enduro category. The third round will be held on March 23 and 24 and the fourth round on March 26. Each round will be open to vehicles of the following classes: Class 1 - Motorcycles up to and including 450cc; Class 2 - Motorcycles over 450cc and Class 3 - Quads. Each round w...
