Bigbmeetup set to host a Football Fans Special.
Bigbmeetup, a talk show started by photo journalist Bosco Menezes, will this week host a Football Fans Special.
With most of the European league resuming football action and Qatar set to host resume action the postponed QNB Stars League in July, the topic of discussion will be around the ‘beautiful game’ on Saturday at 8.00pm Qatar time.
Taking part in the discussion on ‘Jogo Bonita’ will be Hamad Al Amari Qatar's nunero uno standup comedian and diehard Liverpool fan along with German based Bayern Munich fan Michael Zeman along with Doha-born Matthias Krug, a Barcelona fan and author of the book ‘Journeys on a Football Carpet’.
Bosco Menezes has so far hosted nine episodes of the virtual #bigbmeetup, while six of them before the corona virus pandemic.
He kicked off the episode series with Mohamed Saadoon Al Kuwari as keynote speaker and was themed on Sports and Wellness and there has been no looking back for him.
The earlier shows were broadly themed on how people are coping with Covid and had speakers such as life coaches, fitness gurus, yoga teachers, environmentalists, public figures and even differently abled child with her mother talking on Garangao during Ramadan as well as Qatar Red Crescent volunteers,
Before the Corona Virus pandemic, Bosco Menezes held every Saturday were a big hit in Qatar with a large crowd gathering each of the shows.
The shows were on four themes namely Celebrating Artists, Sustainability (Estedamaa) , This Ability Championing people who are differently abled and Sports and Wellness
“I have been getting good response to the shows, if earlier a huge crowd used to turn up physically for the shows now they are doing it digitally. I am happy with the response and wish to thank by sponsors and well wishers who have part of my journey,” said Bosco Menezes, who was voted one of 30 most influential people of their community in 2019 by Doha Festival City Magazine
“I wish to thank the community partners and pleased with the response i have got from the general public and viewers from across the world since I have gone to the virtual platform,” he added.
Bosco has been a fine art photographer curated over 7 expositions in the last three years including his solo expositions.
He is also the founder of Qatar's popular community reachout initiative #bigbmeetup dedicated to his late mother Auroliana Josephine who used to live and work in Qatar in the late 70's.
