Mishal A. Al Ghuneim and Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani walk with top honours at 2nd round of Qatar Off-Road Championship

 

Doha, Qatar: Mishal A. Al Ghuneim and Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani walked away with the top honours at the 2nd round of Qatar Off-Road Championship organized by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) on Saturday.

Mishal topped in the 450 cc category followed by Abdulhalim Al Mogeera and Sultan Al Balooshi.

In the Over 450 cc, Sheikh Mohammed topped the charts followed by Jaco Anderson and Abdulrahman Al Sheeb

In the Quad category, Emiel Stuckens took the top honours.

In the auto category, the pair of Ahmed Al Kuwari and Nasser Al Kuwari topped the overall classification followed by Abdulla Al Khelaifi and Abdulaziz Al Jabri. The pair of Mohammed Ameer and Pedro Santos were in third place

In Class 2, Ahmed Al Kuwari and Nasser Al Kuwari topped the speed charts followed by Abdulla Al Khelaifi and Abdulaziz Al-Jabri, with third place going to Ahmed Al Muhannadi and Mubarak Al Khelaifi.

In Class 3,  Mohammed Ameer and Pedro Santos came first followed by Abdulaziz Al Bshayer and Martin Chalmers.

The third position went to Ahmed Allouh and Ali Obaid.

In Class 4, Rashid Al Muhannadi  and Tamer Hijazeen took the top honours.

The championship consists of six rounds. The first three rounds will be Enduro (endurance) and the remaining three will be the Baja category. The sixth and final round will offer double points to the participants.

After today’s second round, two rounds each are scheduled in November and December, with the season finale to be staged on December 10 and 11.
