 The International Youth Star Contender will be held in Qatar


The International Youth Star Contender will be held in Qatar from 7-11 March 2022 at the Lusail Multipurpose Sports Hall.

A separate category has been established for singles and doubles competitions for under 15 year olds for both Boys & Girls, as well as singles and doubles competitions for ages under 19 (for both Boys & Girls).

The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Table Tennis Federation. 

Advanced players are selected based on the highest ranking, most contested tournaments, and international ranking; In the preliminary rounds, the lower ranked players play international tournaments and matches.

The registration period for participation in the tournament runs from January 20, 2021, until February 11, 2022.

In addition, ITTF confirmed that the Qatar Table Tennis Association, headed by Mr. Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Mohannadi, is considered one of the best international federations, which is trusted by all, and that the tournaments hosted by Qatar are always characterized by an excellent technical and administrative level, as well as a high attendance and participation rate of the best players around the world.

  MUSCAT (OMAN): Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah, the winner of a record-breaking 17 FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) titles, tops the entry for the Oman Rally Sohar International 2021.
