Qatar men's team pulled off an impressive win over the United Arab Emirates to emerge champions in the first Gulf Padel Cup Challenge at the Padel In Courts in Aspire Zone on Saturday.

Qatar prevailed 2-1 to bring cheer to the large crowd that had turned up for the title clash. This is the second international title for Qatar in recent months. The first came in November last year when they won the Asian-African qualifying tournament for the World Championships in Doha.

Earlier in the day, Qatar had defeated Saudi Arabia in the semifinal. UAE got the better of Kuwait in the other semifinal.

The Oman women’s team emerged winners, quelling the UAE's challenge 2-0 in the final.
