HH the Father Amir Camel Racing Festival Kicks Off


  The activities of the annual festival for purebred Arabian camel racing on the sword of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani for the 2023 season kicked off on Saturday at Al Shahaniya and Lebseer race tracks amid wide participation from GCC states.

Organized by the Organizing Committee for the Camel Race over a period of seven days, the organizing committee raised the cash awards value for the festival's rounds from all age groups to unprecedented numbers, the cash awards have been standardized for all rounds.

In addition, the organizing committee has been keen to hold the heritage camel races within the major festivals in pursuit of preserving the heritage sport, as the festival will be witnessing the stage of two rounds this year for age groups from (18-45 years old) for human rider.
