International Shooting Sport Federation Co-opts Two Qatari Members for Sustainability, Technical Committees
The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has co-opted Hamad Ali Al Athba and Abdullah Ali Al Mutawa Al-Hammadi as Qatari members in two committees affiliated to ISSF during a meeting held by the Board of Directors, which reviewed all candidates of the various committees through electronic voting.
The meeting chose the Secretary-General of the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association (QSAA) Hamad Ali Al Athba for the membership of ISSF's sustainability committee, and the member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Association Abdullah Ali Al Mutawa Al-Hammadi for the membership of ISSF's technical committee.
Meanwhile, Al Athba said that he is delighted to have been chosen for this position, asserting that joining the sustainability committee of ISSF was supported by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOA) under the presidency of HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association under the presidency of Mishaal Ibrahim Al Nasr who vouched him for joining the committee.
He also thanked the president of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem for the congratulation he extended to join the ISSF's sustainability committee, wishing success to the confederation.
For his part, Abdullah Al-Hammadi thanked both QOA, QSAA, and ASC and its Secretary-General for their major role that helped him join the technical committee
