Khalifa Squash Complex Open Kick starts

   


The 1st Khalifa Squash Complex Open tournament, organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF), started on Saturday and will last for five days, in the participation of more than 120 male and female squash players.

The competitions will be categories based on gender and age, including boys and girls under 11, 13, 15 and 17 years old, in addition to the men’s and the women’s categories.

The tournament is a single-elimination tournament, where whichever player suffers a loss, leaves.

QTSBF Executive Director and the Tournament's Director Saad Al Mohannadi said in a statement that he is pleased to announce the organization of the 1st Khalifa Squash Complex Open tournament for the 2023 season, with a wide attendance of squash players.

Al Mohannadi added that this local open tournament is witnessing the participation of girls and women for the first time, as part of the federation's support for all squash practitioners and its belief in sport's crucial role in developing societies.

The Tournament's Director stressed QTSBF's keenness on organizing and hosting the largest number of local and international tournaments in order to create opportunities for national team players to compete and gain more experience, and to popularize the game within the community.
