MotoGP™ Race Direction updates from the Permanent Bureau

The Permanent Bureau, comprising the FIM and Dorna, can now confirm updates to the structure of Race Direction in the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship. These updates come into force for the 2023 season as the sport begins an exciting new era. Longstanding Race Director Mike Webb will remain the Race Director for the MotoGP™ class as competition expands to include the MotoGP™ Sprint on Saturday afternoons.

Graham Webber, the deputy Race Director for MotoGP™, will take on a new role as the Race Director for the Moto2™ and Moto3™ classes. He will also remain the Race Director for MotoE™ as the all-electric competition evolves into the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship in 2023.

George Massaro, previously the Deputy Race Director for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and Talent Cups that coincide with MotoGP™, has now been named the Race Director for the Rookies and the Talent Cup events in the Grand Prix paddock.

The three-person team of Race Directors for the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship will therefore comprise:

MotoGP™ Race Director – Mike Webb
Moto2™, Moto3™ & MotoE™ Race Director – Graham Webber
Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup & Talent Cup Race Director – George Massaro

This experienced, cohesive team will create continuity throughout the competitions in the Grand Prix paddock, with each bringing their specialist knowledge to their respective classes and ensuring another year of sporting success for MotoGP™.
