Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation Organize Padel Training Workshop


Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) organized the first training workshop on padel sports at Omar Bin Al Khattab School with the participation of 30 schools, in line with the inclusion of padel in the school Olympic program.

The workshop aims to qualify physical education teachers in schools to teach padel to students in a manner consistent with the latest developments in the game.

The program included theoretical lectures and practical classes presented by a group of technicians and trainers of the federation, who were keen to share their experiences with teachers and students.

The workshop shed light on the rules and basics of the padel game and how it is appropriate for the school environment, while the practical side included activities aimed at teaching students padel in a simple and accessible way for all.

Member of the QTSBF Board of Directors, Chairman of the National Teams Committee, Khalid Al Khelaifi, said in a statement that QTSBF attaches great importance to increasing the popularity of the padel sport in the State of Qatar. Therefore, QTSBF is keen to teach it to students in schools at an early age and in a scientific way that keeps pace with the latest developments in this game.

Padel has become part of the school Olympic program, and these workshops undoubtedly contribute to the professional qualification of male and female teachers to teach it, in addition to allowing the discovery of talents in this sport, he added.
