Like all Goans he yearns to see live performances of Goan actors on stage in Qatar, where he has been based for several decades. Those come once in a while, blame it on the high costs of halls and several other factors. For Gabriel the show must go on, music and the beats cannot stop. He has set his own agenda to promote and keep the Konkani language and songs alive in Qatar in his own unique way. To change the monotonous lifestyle, we ventured out of the confines of our home and took a long ride to the desert. The moment we utter the word desert, people not familiar with the hot desert associate with sand storms and as a barren land, bereft of any vegetation. It is not the case; in fact, many plants and animals have evolved special ways to survive the harsh environment. Besides patches of greenery, the desert has many interesting to offer on its platter.
