It was famously used by botanist Anna Atkins, who created the first photographic book using cyanotype prints of plants. The process involves coating paper with a light-sensitive solution, placing objects or negatives on top, and exposing them to sunlight. When developed with water, the images appear in a striking blue hue. Kiran Kallur is a photographer and mountaineer with over a decade of experience in photography, filmmaking, and alternative photographic processes.
